One of the greatest most challenging journeys you may ever go on is seeing what your body is capable of. Maybe you are in shape, totally out of shape, or merely looking to lose some weight. Nonetheless, developing a body that you can be proud, one that is healthy, and lets you truly adore each last tiny inch of it actually is an amazing journey to travel down.

So what's the secret to making a lasting change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table every single day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you may become lackadaisical and deterred. Instead, really try and understand you're competing against and with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every single time you do, you need to come back with a dedication to achieving something you've always really wanted. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each day. Without it, you may suffer the the unavoidable reality of many new years resolutioners who give up every single year on creating the body of their dreams because they lack the personal power to keep on coming back repeatedly timeand again.

Commitment also is evoked, though not the commitment you're possibly thinking of in this case. In our world, we are fed this concept that everything must take place at this time and if it does not actually happen now, it's not worth it at all. Your body is going to drastically change throughoutthe years, so why don't you make a lifetime promise to remaining healthy? Is that a marketable and packageable idea? Not so much. But is it something that might really change the course of your life? Absolutely.

When you make a pledge to keeping your body healthy through your whole life, you may eventually reach whatever goal you wish. It's about seeing the overall picture than just the few months in front of you until the summer. It is about developing something you can be proud of for ever and ever. For me, that idea changed the course of my life as I was able to finally hit my health targets after 12 years of fighting with my body image and food issues. But as soon as I shifted my world view of what I was attempting to attain, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it works for you. Make a total commitment to remaining healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term also.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all sides of your life, and things will change drastically.
