How To Make Your Own Soy Crisps

Having to follow your own recipe when it comes to the food that your family will eat is a good thing. They are more delicious than commercially bought products, after all. One of the best example of that would be the soy crisps. To make your own, you just need to prepare flour, soybean powder, butter, yeast, milk, eggs, sugar, and seasonings.

The first thing to do in making this food would be mixing yeast and milk. You need three-eights cups of the yeast and half a cup of the lukewarm milk. Mix the two ingredients together. After that, let the mix sit in for at least fifteen to twenty minutes. You will be using the mix together with the other ingredients later.

You will then have to mix sugar and milk. Prepare half cup milk and add it with sugar. You will have to prepare a small mixing bowl to mix these two together. You should then add your dash of seasonings. Salt and any other seasoning of your choosing should do. Add half cup soft butter and two eggs. Mix all these with a large spoon or whisk.

The base ingredient for this recipe, which is the soybeans powder, will then be prepared next. In another large bowl, you will need to mix in the soybean powder together with three cups of plain flour. You will be mixing these two ingredients with your hands so make sure they are clean and sanitized.

Once prepared, all of the previously prepared ingredients must be added to the soybean and flour mix. You first add in the yeast and milk mix into this bowl. Then, you are to follow the milk and sugar mix. You can create a dough with this. The dough must be left to rise in a covered, warm area for two hours.

While the dough is rising, you have to prepare the other things you will be needing in the said recipe. This is, in particular, the cooking sheets. You have to prepare it so that it can be ready for when the dough is to be placed in the oven. In preparing the cooking sheets, you will just have to rub it with oil.

Once the two hours have passed, you will need to prepare your dough into its final form. You should get a rolling pin and roll the dough until it becomes flat. Once you have a flat prepared dough, you will then need to place it on the cooking sheets you rubbed with oil.

In another bowl, you got to beat an egg. This is necessary for the final touches for your dough before it is placed inside the oven. You will need your basting brush, dip it into the beaten egg, and brush it up on your flat dough. It makes your dough even tastier once you are done baking.

After brushing it with the egg, the dough should then be placed in your oven. Put the oven on medium heat to cook the dough. Let it cook for fifteen minutes. After that, you should take it out and allow to cool. After cooling, the crispies will now be easy to break. Break it to pieces then and then serve.
